Vero Hosts Largest Ever Reseller Conference

A total of 259 independent specialists from around the world attended Vero Software’s largest ever Global Reseller Conference in Orlando, Florida.  Delegates from more than 35 countries, representing over 1,500 years of CAM experience congregated to see the latest product developments, discuss future direction and get an insight into the business plans of the Vero Group.

Explaining the rationale behind the event, Richard Smith, Chief Executive says: "Following the recent acquisitions of Sescoi and SURFCAM, we are now clearly the largest independent CAM Company within the industry. We have a number of key products that service different manufacturing sectors and our broad product offering presents a definite competitive advantage. The conference provides an opportunity for our reseller network to review the group product portfolio. Our individual brands are out-pacing the industry growth rates (source CIMdata) and our objective is to create the most successful reseller team across the world."

The delegates represented all Vero brands including ALPHACAM, CABINET VISION, EDGECAM, RADAN, SURFCAM, VISI and WORKNC. The conference was split into a mixture of combined group and individual brand sessions. Each brand break-out session reviewed the current software release and provided a sneak preview into the future by showcasing the latest developments.

Since joining the Vero business in 2013, the conference represented the first opportunity for the WORKNC team from all over the world to come together and share their vast knowledge and experience with the enlarged group. Simon Lee, General Manager for WORKNC says, “Our attendance was an extremely positive experience for the WORKNC delegates who left the conference feeling energised, motivated and inspired. The recognition of being part of the world’s number one CAM business is greatly empowering and will lead to many benefits and added value in the months and years to come.”

Highlights from the conference included a number of keynote presentations from Peter Svenneby, a sales consultant and motivational speaker from Syntuity; and Steve Kline Jr and Travis Egan from Gardner Media who presented highly valuable content on global CNC machine tool consumption and media usage within the manufacturing industry. Cutting tool and systems supplier Sandvik Coromant also attended the event to present how the Adveon Tool Library application has been integrated into EDGECAM.
